5. Formation of Contract
For online orders, completing checkout, making payment, or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not constitute formal acceptance of your order.
For telephone, email, purchase order, or trade account orders, receipt of an order or purchase order does not, by itself, constitute acceptance.
A contract is formed only when we issue an express order acceptance or dispatch confirmation, or when the goods are dispatched, whichever occurs first.
Where an order contains age-restricted products, acceptance is also subject to the successful completion of all required age, identity, eligibility, compliance, and delivery checks. Until those checks are completed to our satisfaction, the order remains conditional and we may refuse or cancel it in accordance with these Terms.
6. Right to Refuse or Cancel Orders
Forest School Shop reserves the right to refuse, restrict, or cancel orders at our discretion, including where:
- Payment authorisation fails
- Pricing errors occur
- Products are unavailable
- Delivery restrictions apply
- Age verification requirements are not met

Where payment has already been taken, a full refund will be issued.

- Contact you before dispatch to confirm the correct price
Accepted payment methods include:
- Visa
- Mastercard

However:
- Manufacturers may alter designs or specifications without notice
- Colours may vary depending on display settings
- Images are for illustrative purposes only
- Packaging and branding may differ from images shown
Where product specifications change, we may supply an equivalent or upgraded item where appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
9. Age-Restricted Products & Knife Sales

- Ensure all uploaded documents are clear and legible
- Ensure the name and address match the order details where applicable
Accepted forms of identification may include:
- UK Driving Licence

Failure to provide satisfactory identification may result in delayed dispatch, cancellation of the order, or refusal of supply.
All personal information submitted for age verification purposes is processed securely and handled in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
10. Delivery of Age-Restricted & Bladed Products
To meet our legal obligations, carrier requirements, and delivery policy, orders containing bladed products or other age-restricted tools must be delivered using an appropriate age-verification service and may be released only to the named recipient.
For these deliveries:

Forest School Shop accepts no responsibility for:

Any permits, documentation, or import licences required remain the responsibility of the customer.

Where returns are accepted at our discretion, a restocking fee of up to 20% may apply.

We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control.

Forest School Shop accepts no responsibility for:
- Theft

Safe place delivery is not available for age-restricted products.
15. Failed Deliveries, Refused Orders & Returns to Sender

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
To exercise your cancellation rights, you must notify us clearly within this 14-day period.
Returned products must be:
- Unused
- In resalable condition
- Complete with original packaging where reasonably possible
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless goods are faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied.
Refunds are normally processed within 14 days of receiving returned goods or proof of return.
The following items are excluded from cancellation rights unless faulty or not as described:
- Personalised or customised products
- Special-order items
- Perishable goods
- Opened hygiene or sanitisation products
- Food products
- Opened PPE or first aid items
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
17. Returns Policy
To arrange a return, customers must contact us first to obtain return instructions and a Returns Authorisation reference where required.
Returned goods must be:
- Unused
- Securely packaged
- Returned in original condition
We strongly recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot accept responsibility for returned items lost or damaged during transit.
Refunds apply to the product value only unless goods are faulty or supplied incorrectly.
18. Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods
Customers must inspect deliveries upon arrival.
Any shortages, transit damage, or incorrect goods should be reported to us as soon as reasonably possible and preferably within 24 hours of delivery.
Failure to report issues promptly may affect our ability to process courier or insurance claims.

Delivery partners may include:

We may be unable to investigate claims reported more than 30 days after the order date.

Forest School Shop may invite customers to review products and services through trusted third-party review platforms.
Review invitations may be issued following completed purchases.
Customers may opt out of review communications directly through the review provider.
Trade Account Terms (Business Customers)
In addition to the above Terms & Conditions, the following terms apply to trade, education, public sector, and organisational customers.
Trade Pricing & Quotations
Trade pricing, shipping rates, and quantity discounts may differ from retail website pricing.
Relevant pricing and delivery details will be confirmed on quotations, invoices, or purchase order confirmations.
Age-Restricted Tools, Compliance & Specialist Services
Additional charges may apply where specialist or premium services are required to enable us to meet our legal, regulatory, carrier, or compliance obligations when supplying cutting tools, bladed articles, or other age-restricted products. These may include specialist age-verification, identity-verification, named-recipient delivery, secure handling, manual review, or other enhanced compliance services.
We may also levy reasonable compliance and administration fees for the secure processing of information and for creating, checking, maintaining, or retaining records relating to the supply of age-restricted tools where such processing or record-keeping is reasonably required to meet legal, regulatory, carrier, audit, or compliance obligations.
These are charges for the additional services and administrative work involved in making the regulated supply. They are not charges for personal data itself and do not apply to the exercise of statutory data-protection rights.
Any such charges or fees will be itemised on the relevant trade account invoice and, where applicable, may also be shown on a quotation, order confirmation, or purchase-order acknowledgement. Unless otherwise stated, charges are exclusive of VAT.
Minimum Order Values
Trade and purchase order transactions may be subject to minimum order values or administration fees for low-value orders.
Orders under the value of £50 net may, at our discretion, be treated as a “small order”, and a small-order fee of £10 net may apply.
Payment Terms
Approved trade account customers must pay invoices within agreed payment terms.
Late payment may result in:
- Interest charges
- Suspension of account facilities
- Withdrawal of credit terms
- Recovery action where necessary
Trade Order Cancellations
Cancelled business orders or purchase orders may incur:
- Restocking charges
- Return carriage costs
- Administrative fees
These charges may apply particularly where goods have already been ordered, allocated, customised, packed, or dispatched.
