Description

The Boonies Outdoor XL High-Vis Firesteel is the number one choice for Forest Schools and outdoor education. Its extra-large ferro rod means that its not only easier to use, but it will last approximately twice as long as a standard army size firesteel. The rod itself has been made in such a way that it is slightly softer than other brands, meaning that less pressure is required to launch a shower of hot sparks making it an easier firesteel for youngsters to use, as well as less confident adults.

EXTRA LARGE FIRESTEELS

The handle is made from a highly visible plastic, meaning that its easy to spot if it is dropped onto a woodland floor. The Boonies Outdoor XL Firesteel is available with two 'striker' options - standard [MKI] or PRO [MKII] (pro is better if you are left handed as it's a multi-side striker). See drop-down for options.

The firesteel will work in all-weather conditions making it an essential bushcraft and survival accessory for any outdoors person to carry. The Boonies Outdoor XL Firesteel is supplied with its own canvas pouch that is designed to hold both your firesteel, and the tinder of your choice.
