Traditional Fire Lighting using friction can be tricky to master and when running outdoor classes and events there isn't always time to build fire bows and drills from scratch. A solution to this is our range of Fiction Fire Lighting tools that will make your life a little less hectic when getting ready for outdoor Forest School and Bushcraft Events.

Friction Fire Lighting with the Bow Drill

The Scout Bow Drill Fire Kit consists of the Fire Bow, x2 spindles, Friction-less Clay Palm Rock and 12' length of Jute (makes 8-12 fire nests). Each Bow Drill Kit has been tested prior to dispatch, and will only leave our warehouse if capable of lighting a fire within 30 seconds (it takes practice to achieve this!). These kits are wonderful for inspiring the imagination of youngsters as well as adults. Other than technique and know how, you have everything made and ready to go in an instant.
