Description

This knife has no sharpened cutting edge. The Old Bear Baby is an unsharpened first knife created to inspire young explorers and budding “baby bushcrafters” as they discover the natural world.

Ideal for supervised forest school activities, outdoor learning and introducing children to basic knife handling, it offers the appearance and mechanism of a traditional pocket knife without a sharpened blade. It is designed to encourage curiosity, confidence and an early appreciation of bushcraft and the outdoors.

The unground 420 stainless steel blade has a rounded tip and opens using a traditional nail nick. Its ergonomically shaped wooden handle is comfortable for smaller hands and is available in a rich red or yellow finish.

A brass ferrule and Old Bear’s distinctive twist-lock mechanism complete this beautifully made Italian pocket knife. Manufactured by Antonini in Italy, the Old Bear Baby makes a memorable first forest school knife for the next generation of outdoor adventurers.

Please note: The blade is unsharpened and the tip is rounded, but this is not a toy. Children must use it responsibly and under direct adult supervision.
