In bushcraft, cooking out in the wilds over an open campfire is a real treat, and one that everybody should enjoy whilst camping. For cooking stews and soups for outdoor groups and scout gatherings, you'll need a large cooking pot, which are usually bulky and heavy, and need a strong, robust and sturdy steel cooking tripod to support the weight safely.
Outdoor cooking tripods allow for the campfire flames to distribute the heat more freely, meaning that your outdoor meal will cook more evenly. Our bushcraft cooking tripods also improve campsite safety, as they provide a sturdy frame to hang a stew pot from, removing the trip hazard of a pot standing on the edge of a campfire site.
Our campfire cooking tripods are made with a thick gauge 12mm black steel, which is a heavier duty than many others. Each of our fire tripods comes complete with a sturdy 40cm cooking pot chain.
The steel tripod legs can be positioned with a narrow or wider gait, to allow for controlled height.
Cooking tripods are excellent outdoor cookery accessories, especially for large groups and gatherings, such as scouts, forest schools, bushcraft courses and other outdoor events such as storytelling and conservation work parties. They also make great additions to gardens for outdoor cooking and barbeque events.
