minusDo you accept purchase orders?

Yes, we do. If you're a school or charitable organisation you may send a purchase order to us. Visit our purchase order page for further details.

minusAre your products in stock?

If our product listings have a 'green tick' they are in stock and on our own shelves (we don't sell what we don't have , unlike our compeitiors). If an item says 'available to order' this means there may be a delay - to find out, simply add it to your basket. If RED wording is present, it will state an estimated lead time. If NO RED wording is present (withint he basket) then the item is in stock.

minusHow much does postage cost?

Because there are just so many variables when calculating postage, we ask that you add the product(s) to the shopping basket, input your postcode and country (if applicable) and then click calculate to give you an exact shipping cost. Some items may also have surcharges which will be displayed within the basket.

INTERNATIONAL: We are not currently shipping internationally. We anticipate the option to be available again in the future, when things settle down post COVID / BREXIT.

minusWhere's my stuff?

Goods usually leave us within 1-3 business days. Depending on the postage method you have chosen, they then take another 1-4 days to arrive. We no longer offer next day service (since COVID) as we adhere to strict working guidelines which mean things now take just a little longer.


Our Oaks Points are the best way of getting additional savings on top of our already low prices. Some items also have bulk buying rates available. We can offer additional discounts to account holders, but you would need to request an account and place large orders regularly to qualify.

minusDo you have a shop that I may visit your shop?

We no longer accept visits (since COVID).

minusWhat are Oaks Points and how do I use them?

Think of Oaks Points in the same way as you would with any other form of loyalty points. As a way to say thank you, we award you with points for shopping with us. These points can be cashed in against any future purchase of forest School equipment.

250 Oaks Points = £1.00

The requirements are that you log-in to your customer account, or create a new account with your order, and you must checkout and pay online. Oaks Points are not available for purchases over the telephone, email or post, and they can't be added to past orders.

To spend your points on a future order, simply add products to your basket and look out for your points total and the options of how to spend them.

minusCan you source products that are not on your website?

Forest School Shop is owned and run by Oaks Online Shopping Company, and our parent company are official stockists and distributors for many outdoor brands, and other unusual and hard-to-find outdoor products. So, we like to think of ourselves as a one-stop-shop. We own several warehouses filled with thousands of different lines of outdoor equipment, so it's always worth checking with us before looking elsewhere. We're usually able to offer better prices than our competitors too!

minusMay I change my delivery address after placing my order?

At the time of placing your order, you will be given the choice to have your order delivered to a different address. After your order is placed we are not able to change your delivery details.

minusDo you offer next day delivery?

Since COVID, we have changed our shipping methods. To work safely we have less staff in specific areas. For this reason, we no longer offer next day delivery. Our standard shipping is pretty fast.

minusDo you recycle packaging materials?

We try to be as green as possible, so we may send goods out in pre-used boxes and use as many alternative packaging materials as we can. This is not always possible, but at least 70% of materials we use are recycled or ethically sourced. If we use non-eco-friendly materials to ship your order in, then the chances are we are reusing materials that have come in to us.

minusHow quickly do you respond to email?

Most questions will recieve a response within an hour or so (between 9:30 - 16:00, weekdays). If your question requires a more in-depth answer, it may need to be sent to a specialist member of the team - in which case we kindly ask that you allow up to 7 business days for a response (It's usually much sooner!).

minusWhat is a Forest School?

Forest Schools are a new and exciting educational approach to outdoor play and discovery, in which children and adults build new-found confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning in a calming woodland setting.

minusDo I need to be 18 to buy knives and tools?

Yes, and we do verify your age before sending goods out. It is illegal to attempt to purchase age-restricted goods if you are not of legal age to purchase them.
