Forest School Peelers
Using potato peelers for carving is a safer, and more reliable way for children to first try their hand at carving very basic items from wood. No peeler is designed for this purpose, but they can be used.
Forest School Wood Peelers:
We have two styles of peeler, but please be aware that option one is for very light use. If being used to strip bark from wood, we strongly advise choosing option 2. As peelers are not designed for carving wood, these items are excluded from our standard 30 days money back guarantee.
Option1) Basic - the Lancashire peeler is for light use (veg etc). For purposes of hygiene the handles are now plastic and blades removable. We don't recommend this model for woodcarving.
Option 2) Robust - this is a basic, yet very strong peeler, the strongest we've found on the market. The blades are solid and are fixed firmly in the handle of the peeler. Suitable for veg and stripping bark from twigs, and entry-level peeling.
Vegetable Peeler Spec:
- Removable blade on the option one model
- Handle: Plastic on both models
- Note: Colours and designs in the images may vary slightly from time to time to the peelers sent
